Wood Turning By Dad
My father bought a 1967 Shop Smith VII 7-in-1 tool (scroll down this page to the 1960 Mark VII for a picture) and turned some wood.
I have the Shop Smith now and some of the items he made.

Candle sticks
Wood is Walnut - Scrap gun stock material.
Two separate pieces of wood turned and then joined.
10 1/8" tall, 4 3/4" diameter at base.

7 1/4" diameter.
Less than 1/8" thick tapered to ~ 3/8" at center.

Wood is unknown hardwood burl(?).
Exterior of base is smooth, top exterior is a bit rough, turning interior and undersides - rough.
~ 6" tall, ~ 4 1/2" diameter.

Wood is unknown softwood.
7 1/4" diameter.
Less than 1/16" thick tapered to ~ 1/4" at center.
(Can see evidence on bottom - turned on a faceplate.)
